COPY That Actually Sounds Like You Said It

What is Copywriting?

Copywriting is the words on your website: your homepage, your services page, your About page, your calls to action.

It's easy to underrate until you read a site that gets it wrong, generic, stiff, or trying so hard to sound professional that it stops sounding like a person at all.

Okay, but do I NEED it?

Good website copy does two things at once. It answers the specific questions a visitor actually has (what is this, who is it for, what does it cost, what happens if I reach out), and it sounds unmistakably like the business behind it. That second part is where most small business copy falls apart. It gets smoothed into something generic that could belong to anyone, which means it convinces no one.

My process starts with how you actually talk, not how a template thinks a business "should" sound.

Intake answers, past emails, the phrases you use without thinking about it. That becomes the raw material. From there, the copy gets built around your specific client's situation and the specific transformation you offer, not a generic services list.

What to Know About COPYWRITING

Copywriting is included in The Flagship and The Foundation, built alongside your site so the words and the design are doing the same job. It's especially important for therapists and wellness practitioners, where the wrong tone (too clinical or too vague) can be the difference between someone reaching out and someone bouncing to the next search result. It also comes into play for The Fix, where a fill-in-the-blank copy template is provided at kickoff so timelines aren't held up waiting on drafts.

Most website copy could belong to anyone. Yours shouldn't. If a stranger could have written your About page, it's not doing its job, it should sound so specific to you that no one else could have said it.

Common Questions

Do I need to provide my own copy, or do you write it?

For The Flagship and The Foundation, copywriting is included and written from scratch based on how you actually talk. For The Fix, a copy template is provided at kickoff, since that package is website-only and the project timeline is tied to when copy comes in.

Will the copy actually sound like me, not like AI wrote it?

That's the whole point of pulling from your intake answers, emails, and how you already describe your work, rather than starting from a blank template. The goal is copy specific enough that it couldn't belong to anyone else's business.
